The brothers Miguel and Fausto Panozo Butrón learned the art of charango making very young in Aiquile, the birthplace of the charango. Years later inmigrated to Cochabamba establishing their own charango shop in the south side of this city  "Fabrica de Instrumentos de Cuerda de Fausto y Miguel Panozo Butrón"
To date they have an experience of 36 years of making charangos and a reputation of good quality amongst folklore musicians worlwide. The woods that they use to make their charangos are of high quality, and for this reason they, in 1998 were awarded the prize "Premio por la Calidad de Fabricación de Charangos". Amongst the most used woods in the charangos are: Naranjillo, Najna, Soto Mara, Laurel, Tarco, Aro and Algorrobo de Jacaranda from Aiquile and the tropical woods Jacaranda, Mara y Tejeyeke that are purchased in Chapare. From India is imported the black
wood Ebony that is utilized for the details. They also use Canadian and American Abeto Pine.
The Panozo brothers are winners of National Fairs, like the prize of "The Gold Charango" in 1986 - 1989 - 1996 - 1997 - 1998 y 1999. They were also invited to International Art Fairs in Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Perú, Argentina and in european countries like Spain.
In spite of the sad death of Miguel Panozo in the year 2000, Fausto and his younger brother continue to participate every year in the Charango Fair and offer their high quality charangos, due to the use of first level materials and as well
as for their unique designs.
