All prices shown
at TiendasLatinas.com site are exclusive of customs charges..
It is our experience
that personal shipments almost never are levied customs duties. However,
we believe that our clients should not
worry on wether their personal shopping at TiendasLatinas.com will be taxed
or not. It is for this reason that the
following refund policy applies for all purchases made at TiendasLatinas.com.
TiendasLatinas.com
will refund CUSTOM DUTIES levied on any order.
Custom Broker
Fees on larger wholesale orders that require "Formal Entries" are not considered
"Custom Duties" and these will NOT be refunded by TiendasLatinas.com and
are to be borne by the wholesale buyer.
Mail shipments under
certain values (depending on country) are processed as "Informal Entries"
and do not require any custom paperwork nor a Custom broker.
As example we quote
from American
Importers Org. (similar provisions aply elsewhere, specially
in the EU.):
"Mail Shipments
Shipments by mail
which do not exceed $2000 in value, whether commercial or noncommercial
importations..........
A formal entry is
required for any mail shipment exceeding $2000 in value........"
On regular retail
orders if you are levied custom duties, the same will be collected by the
carrier (normally the postal service) upon delivery.

On wholesale orders if required, Formal
Entries can be filled either by the importer himself or by a local hired
Custom Broker. Please refer to the following provision Andean
Trade Preference Act (ATPA)/Andean Trade Promotion and Drug Eradication
Act (ATPDEA) before paying custom duties as the imported products most
likely are duty free (A similar provision holds true in EU)
For all refunds
under the above conditions, customers should pay the customs duties as
levied and then send the customs duties paid receipt to TiendasLatinas.com
while requesting the refund.
Please send the original
custom duties paid receipt and refund request to:
